Taj enters the Andamans with a 72-villa resort

Indian Hotels Company, which runs the Taj brand of hotels and resorts, has announced the opening of Taj Exotica Resort & Spa on the Havelock Islands in the in the Andamans. The 72-villa resort is spread across 46 acres of forest and mangroves while preserving the fragile eco-system of the island, the company said in a release. "Taj Exotica Resort & Spa is a milestone for us. Taj has been instrumental in developing the tourism potential in Rajasthan, Kerala and Goa and putting them on the global map. With the opening of this resort, our position of pioneering destinations and having the largest network of leisure hotels gets further strengthened," Indian Hotels Company managing director Puneet Chhatwal said.
