RERA registration deadline extended in Rajasthan to August 31
The state government of Rajasthan has extended the deadline for developers to register under the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). The developers can now register with RERA till August 31 after paying four times registration fee. According to an official, before the previous deadline (May 31), the registration fee for developers was Rs 10,000 per square metre. It will now be increased to Rs 40,000 per square metre. "In case, developers fail to register their projects before extended deadline, they have to 10 times of fees for registration." said official. Developers, projects and agents were provided 90 days to register after the RERA Act came into effect on May 1 in the state. Till July 31, nearly 412 applications from developers for registering their ongoing projects were received. Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje had launched the RERA website on June 1 after RERA act came into force.
