Noida homebuyers meet Anna Hazare for support
The homebuyers group from Noida met social activist Anna Hazare in Pune on Sunday to seek his support in their ongoing protests. The homebuyers claimed that their confidence in the political and administrative system has crumbled since insolvency bids are being raised against builders. While the builders are facing the legal ire for debts to banks, the buyers expressed that their interests are being compromised in the bid. The group which met Hazare mainly consisted of buyers from the Amrapali Group. The homebuyers have expressed their grief to Anna. Anna has requested them to send detailed files of all the case studies of overdue projects. He will then write to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeking his intervention in protecting the buyers’ rights. Rashesh Purohit, president, NCR homebuyers’ association, told media, “The buyers have discussed all their pain. We submitted all the RTIs, other supporting documents. He has expressed his concern over the injustice being dealt out to the buyers and that he would take a personal interest in finding out about the malpractices.”
