Vishwajeet Jhavar, chairman and chief executive officer of Marvel Realty, is in trouble yet again. Barely two days after he got out of jail, he has been booked by the Viman Nagar police on charges of cheating and criminal breach of trust. Police officials acted on a complaint filed by a Mumbai resident, Satish Gundewar, 46, who alleged that he had not been handed over a commercial unit at Marvel Edge, a project of the real estate company. Gundewar is the group executive vice president of Yes Bank, and told the cops that he bought the unit back in December 2014 after he came across the Marvel Edge project. Gundewar claimed that the developer had assured him that he would get possession of his property within the next three months. Accordingly, he paid a little over Rs 92 lakhs in the next few days.
