Mapusa residents notify Goa housing board over fraudulent signatures
Over 100 residents of the Ganeshpuri Housing Board colony in Mapusa have served a legal notice to the Goa Housing Board objecting to the construction of a community hall on an open space within the housing colony. The local residents have alleged that the Ganeshpuri Vishwasth Mandal temple trust forged signatures of the residents and fraudulently sought conversion of the open space. In the legal notice, the residents have argued that the former secretary of the temple trust, M R Gadekar, submitted a copy of the “purported no-objection certificate letter” issued by the residents in order to convert the land earmarked as open space into an institutional space.
