The western UP unit of the real estate body, Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI), has assured to the general public and its customers that there is no reason to panic and do not become victim of these misleading and false messages spread on the social media. CREDAI told homebuyers not to believe on the misleading message that is being circulated on WhatsApp and other social media platforms that nationalised banks have put some of our member developers in Delhi NCR into the bankruptcy watchlist and all fresh/pending loan disbursement have been stopped for all of their projects in Noida and elsewhere. It said that legal action including police complaint has been initiated against the accused persons. According to Mr. Deepak Kapoor, President, CREDAI Western UP" An old post is being circulated on various online portals like IBA and IREF with malicious intention to waylaid the buyers. The post is from 2011 when banks decided to stop further loan disbursal. The issue is old and no such thing is happening now but some unscrupulous elements are posting the old news to pressurize various developers into submitting to their will. We will take the compliant formally with the IT cell and see to it that these disturbing elements spreading falsehood should be prosecuted".
