Aparna Group has inaugurated a Vitero tile factory in Peddapuram, near the port city of Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. The plant was commissioned by Shri Nara Lokesh, Cabinet Minister for Information Technology and Panchayati Raj in Andhra Pradesh, amidst a distinguished gathering of leading politicians, senior members of the State Administration and top management of Aparna Group companies. Vitero Tile Factory is one of the most advanced and competitive in the region and will rapidly create value for the Group, its customers and the State. The new plant brings to India, the very latest in tile production and Nano-polishing technology and meets the Group's most stringent international standards for quality, the company said in a statement. The group has invested around Rs 320 crores in the plant The Vitero tile factory will help the company provide an expanding footprint to serve its customers in South India and across the country as well. Aparna Enterprises Limited, a part of the Aparna Group, is already the largest tile distributor of South India, which will now produce and supply double charged vitrified tiles to the market. Commenting on the plant, Ms. S Aparna Reddy, Director of Aparna Enterprises, said, “The 9, 75, 000 Sft VITERO Tile Factory is the first tile production facility of its kind in South India. It boasts of the largest gas-fired kiln (265 mtrs long), and has a capacity of producing 15,000 sq. meters per day (5.47 million sq. meters per annum). The fact that Aparna Group has invested in excess of Rs 320 crores in the plant, makes one thing clear: The Group is totally convinced in the ease of doing business in AP and that VITERO Tiles will be a marketing success.” The Group is in an expansion mode and plans additional investments of Rs. 1500 crores to set up new tile factories in Rayalaseema and other regions. The Indian vitrified tile market is expected to see a compounded annual growth rate of 25% between 2017-2022. The demand for world-class vitrified tiles has been growing steadily for some years, driven by double-digit annual growth in the construction industry.
