More than 15 thousand projects were registered with MahaRERA within a short span of time, due to the joint efforts of CREDAI Maharashtra and MahaRERA, said 'MahaRERA' chief Gautam Chatterjee at an event. Speaking at the two day leadership summit organized by CREDAI Maharashtra, Chatterjee said, “Rules are not being fulfilled in case of some registered projects. Although such developers are notified through emails, CREDAI should also make them aware. MahaRERA will extend all assistance in this regard. The mutual trust between the customer and the developers has eroded due to some unscrupulous elements. The real estate sector will develop only when that trust is restored. In this process, the role of the MahaRERA is also important.” The summit was inaugurated at the hands of Director of Urban Development Department N. R. Shende. CREDAI National President Satish Magar, CREDAI Maharashtra President Shantilal Kataria, CREDAI Maharashtra's founder and former President Ramkumar Rathi and more than 200 members from over 50 cities in the state were present on the occasion. On this occasion, Shende said, “Urban Development Department was in the process of bringing a uniform process all over the state. Apart from this we are trying to make the whole process online so that developers and ultimately citizens get the benefit of it. We are in the process of preparing a development plan for the next 10 to 20 years for the newly formed Municipal Councils and the Nagar Panchayat.”
