What are the latest products offered by your brand? Anchor has unveiled a new range in Premium Modular Switches named Roma Plus. It has also launched India’s only energy-efficient Fan with ISI mark, 5-Star Energy Efficiency and High Speed delivering optimum performance even in fluctuating voltage. The new range of Wires marketed under Advance EFFR adheres to ISTM & JIS standards and is the First Germ-free Wire in the world. Panasonic LED products form a vital part of its product portfolio with their adherence to IEC standards along with IS. RoHS compliant Panasonic Switchgear & IS compliant Uno Switchgear form perfect fitment for green-housing as well as regular housing projects. With Panasonic as a proud parent, it has also ventured in the Solar Business with high-efficiency Panasonic HIT Solar Modules that drive on the mantra of More Energy Per Square Meter. What are the market trends for 2016? With the end-user in all spaces becoming more aspirational and the infrastructural boom in the residential segment, there is a huge demand in the market for quality electrical products. Customers are willing to pay a premium for getting more features for transforming their premises, while the internet-of-things is being looked upon as a key element for transforming a simple house to a smart home with seamless integration of electronic devices with electrical equipment. What is the USP of your company? Anchor is one of the most trusted brands with a rich legacy in manufacturing since more than five decades. Today, it is a vital part of Panasonic’s Solutions Business and endeavors to deliver more value to its customers through its solutions approach. Wide distribution strength, easy availability of products in every nook and corner of India, advanced technology used in manufacturing products for added reliability and the ability to offer a good quality product across entire Indian Socio-Economic Spectrum are some of the major USP’s of the company. Who are the target audience for your products? The target audience for our products includes every person in India who requires electrical products that cater to the ever-evolving aspirations and needs. What are your future plans? Anchor may play a pivotal role in the Energy Generation Space and Infrastructure development in terms of small cities being a part of Panasonic Corporation who already has the collective experience of challenges faced for building smart townships in the near future. We are focussed on completing our basket of products for residential space in all our business verticals, making technological enhancements through our parent company to suit the needs of modern Indian premises. What strategies do you follow to handle competition from your organised and unorganised counterparts? While the organized sector players adhere to the BIS quality standards for certain products, we offer added value by adhering to IEC standards along with the BIS. The delicate balance of offering optimum value at minimal cost is an equation that we have attempted to master throughout our journey, adhering to the Tap Water philosophy of Konosuke Matsushita (Founder of Panasonic).
