In an exclusive interview with Ashish Puravankara, MD, Puravankara, who won Developer of the year – Residential award. He speaks with Realty Plus on strengths of the company How do you feel after winning the Realty Plus Award? It is a great honour to be associated with Realty Plus and win such a prestigious recognition. We have always drawn our inspirations from seeing families living happily in the Purva homes and communities. Receiving an award of this stature only adds to our satisfaction and joy. Has it raised the bar of expectation from you for the future? At Puravankara, we are always striving to deliver world class homes by understanding our customer’s needs and aspirations. Our 40 year legacy carries forward the “You Philosophy” as we embark on the next phase of our growth. Having achieved an impressive scale of growth, Puravankara is now well positioned to seize the vast opportunity and challenges in the Real Estate sector going forward. We have now embarked on an organisation Transformation exercise to charter our next phase of growth. We aspire to transform Puravankara into a performance-driven organization focused on delivery, quality and transparency. Our emphasis is to evolve into a lean and strong organization, by leveraging on our expertise in the areas of land acquisition, design and innovation, approvals/ sanctions and marketing. We plan to outsource construction and focus on bringing in more efficiencies, thereby ensuring timely deliveries. We have laid out a detailed five-year plan to achieve an annual group sales of over 13.3 million square feet (sqft) by the year 2020. The area under execution is targeted at approximately 55 mnsqft, thereby increasing our development capacity in the next five years. Do you think the jury process was transparent? We do believe that the selection process has been transparent and we once again take this opportunity to thank the jury for this prestigious recognition. What are your strengths? Puravankara Projects started its journey 40 years ago, way back in 1975 with one clear aspiration to provide quality homes with the highest levels of integrity and transparency.
