In an exclusive interview with Aditya Javdekar, CEO & MD, Vilas Javdekar Developers, who won to two awards from Realty Plus. The first one is for Affordable Housing Project of the Year and the other one is for Emerging Developer of the Year How do you feel after winning the Realty Plus Award? Its am amazing feeling for me personally and for the company! ... And to win an award is a true testimony of a team that has worked hard and we are absolutely aiming to win many more such awards from Realty Plus. Has it raised the bar of expectation from you for the future? It has definitely excited us to do more work that gets recognised by the industry and gets lauded. We will continue to try and put in our best into every project we do and winning awards give us motivational energy to give that ‘little bit extra’!! Do you think the jury process was transparent? This jury has one of the most famous people of our industry and all these people are of very high integrity. Winning an award from this jury is truly special. How do you drive and motivate your team? We have always believed in our tag line ‘we love what we do’ and that is in our work culture. We work with passion and positive energy and this combination is highly infectious. We derive strength and motivation from each other and that propels us to do things that we can be proud of!!! What has been the turning point of your career? The turning point in my career was when we transformed our company into a company that builds eco-friendly homes. Since 2006, we have committed ourselves to sustainable and responsible Development and all our projects are Green-rated Projects. What is the USP of your company? We have two core values - Trust & Design. All our stakeholders feel these two values in every touch point / transaction / communication. We feel that these two values are the origin of all USP’s of our company. Our products are loved for design and our company is loved because people trust our brand! What is the advice you would like to give to upcoming and young developers? “Keep doing the basics right ... Success in Real Estate is about doing it right the first time and every single time.”
