When did you first start your practice and what kind of projects have you been doing? I graduated from IED School of Architecture, Vadodara. In April 1999, I with Mr Rasik Bahl, one of India’s leading architects launched an architecture and interior design firm, “The Guild of Architects”. The Guild of Architects was formed with the primary objective to create value, excellent detailed designs, on time and within budget delivery of projects. Since then, there has been no looking back for. What defines your style? It is always a difficult proposition to write about the process that goes on in making of one’s own Architecture. The process of design is fluid and always evolving. We do not believe in getting into a style. The design has to strive for tranquillity, calmness, enhancement by space, light and structural order. What has been your biggest challenge so far? It is always challenging to put all together, as the “new client” is increasingly well travelled, so there is this, constant active involvement, which at times slows the process down, but at times enhances it. Process has to be, constantly evolving and sometimes the design approach is to carve out spaces in between chaos, which I find very challenging. Source: Zingy Homes
