Ishwar Parmar, Chairman & Managing Director, Ishwar Parmar Group speaks with Realty Plus about steering team at IPG, his career graph and his feeling after receiving the ‘scroll of honour’ How does it feel to receive the scroll of honour from Realty Plus? The success of Ishwar Parmar Group lies in the continuous, dedicated hard and smart work of its employees, our ethos and our relationship with everyone who is involved with us. For any such special achievements, everyone who has contributed is very important and the honour is dedicated to each one of them. I feel glad and highly honoured to be recognized by Realty Plus. Tell us about the strength that drives your organisation or people towards the set goals! How do you steer and lead your team members? Our company believes in constructing greatness through our values. Integrity, Transparency, Trust, Excellence, Commitment, Empathy and Improvement are the strength that keeps driving our organization and our people towards their goals. Good leadership, clear vision, communication, interpersonal relationships, time management, working in team towards goals and clear strategies for everything supports in achieving our set goals. Steering the team in the right direction is important for any organization to succeed. Our Core Team is made up of strong leaders who lead the Ishwar Parmar Group team through examples. We have several employee welfare programs that help our employees maximize productivity while they maintain work life balance. We support cross training & groom managers from within the company. Please elaborate about your career graph. What has been the decisive moment of your career or in life as a “developer”? I am a qualified civil engineer from College of Engineering, Pune (1970) and have been working in the field of construction, infrastructure and real estate ever since. I have constructed several projects in Bahrain (Gulf) during 1977-1980. Ishwar Parmar Group was set up in the 1970s and is a leading construction house in Pune. I have always worked with a variety of self help groups as part of my personal give back to society. Around fifteen years back, I had decided to get into SRA (Slum Rehabilitation Authority). There were no clear policies, yet I chose it. Today, my company is the largest SRA developer. This was career defining to me. Tell us about your company! How would you describe its uniqueness or its USP? Ishwar Parmar Group is an organization that believes in ‘constructing greatness’ as a principle that guides the vision for world class organization that is focused on people, projects, planet and possibilities. Ishwar Parmar Group is made up of four strong pillars - Our people, our projects, the possibilities they explore during projects & their sound responsibility towards the planet when designing any real estate project. The soul of Ishwar Parmar Group is in the processes and the methodology within the company which has been honed over the years.
