In an exclusive interview with Srinivasan, CEO, SNN Builders, who won Most Enterprising CXO award from Realty Plus How do you feel after winning the Realty Plus Award? Am really proud to have been conferred as the most enterprising CEO and dedicate this award totally to all the SNN employees who deserve credit for making Brand SNN noticeable. Has it raised the bar of expectation from you for the future? Obviously the expectations are more when you head a company and now that I have won this coveted award, it makes it more challenging to enhance the expectations both internally and externally and am sure we will live up to the expectations of all stakeholders. Do you think the jury process was transparent? Among all the Real Estate Awards, I personally feel, that the Realty Plus awards stand out as the publication understands the industry better and also due to the panel of jury who are carefully handpicked from the various segment thereby ensuring a transparent decisions What are your biggest strengths? Courage, ethics and a strong moral compass which will automatically result in high levels of credibility, trust and followership. Am also a strong believer that communication is key to personal and career success. I am also a firm believer in hands-on leadership. Hands-on leadership is often misconstrued to mean micromanagement. True hands-on leadership, however, does not mean interference. It means fully assuming a leadership role, steering from the front and working side-by-side with employees to achieve the goals of the company. How do you drive and motivate your team? Your team always expects more out of their leaders and I ensure to activate the natural talents of our employees in ways that make them feel more responsible about their jobs. Also beyond appreciation and praise, I respect and admire their contribution for the overall growth of the company. At SNN we also have regular meetings of individual departments and also at least once a month the entire team gets together so that the bonding between divisions are established for a much better cohesive function. What is the USP of your company? Its “Trasparency”. Total transparency is the only way to share progress; we use daily, weekly brainstorms and monthly meeting days to make sure everyone in the team has an opportunity to have a voice into what we are doing and see the impact of their and the team’s work. What is the advice you would like to give to upcoming and young developers? Respect your customers’ feelings and give your best in whatever you do. Don’t let minor setbacks derail you and things don’t go as you envision. Remember, today’s consumers’ control the market place and we have to work harder to earn their attention and respect.
