Architect Chin Pak Loong
Chin Pak Loong established his own firm CHINPAKLOONG Architect, in 2013 which specializes in the areas of architecture, interior design and visualization. What’s your design philosophy? My philosophy is to constantly create better design, because no one is a king of design. I don’t confine my design to a particular style. It is always based on the client’s brief because at the end of the day, we’re designing a home and not a house. Everything inspires me, especially people and different cultures. I travel frequently and I tend to stay in design hotels to immerse myself in a creative environment. Tell us about the most memorable project you’ve ever worked on? The top of the list is the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre in Kuala Lumpur. It was one of the projects which got me a lot of attention. My name was even engraved into the walls leading up to the entrance to commemorate the project when it was completed in 2003. Another memorable project is the Nouvo Club in KL, which the client gave me a lot of freedom to do what I wanted design-wise. Source: reno2you.com
