As infrastructure ministries look to begin construction work in tier-2 and tier-3 cities and rural centres in lockdown 3.0, the Centre has issued guidelines which have made it mandatory for every labourer to undergo a health checkup and remain quarantined for a fortnight before beginning work at the site.
Detailed standard operating procedures and guidelines have been worked out for every construction site. Every work site would have a nodal officer or Covid Marshal who would be responsible for all the health, sanitation and hygiene measures employed.
