The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has left society in a state of uncertainty. In these moments of fear, panic and insecurity Realty+ brought about a thought provoking and an inspiring  real estate event – the 12^th Realty+ Conclave & Excellence Awards 2020 East in Kolkata. Nonetheless to say, the same would not have been possible without the support and enthusiastic participation of the speakers, dignitaries, winners and the delegates. Held at the luxurious ITC Royal Bengal on 19^th March the brief yet outstanding event commenced with the lighting of the lamp followed by the invigorating conclave. The Awards evening. recognized and honoured the industry professionals who have showed tremendous resilience and effort to put forth their best work in spite of the tough market scenario. The first plenary session titled POWER OF GENERATION Y – Shaping Kolkata’s Future Realty moderated by Ani Ray, Managing Director, ACC India Pvt. Ltd along with panellist Rishi Jain, Executive Director, Jain Group; Rahul Bagaria, Director Projects, Rishi Group; Yashaswi Shroff, Executive Director, Alcove Realty and Ar. Shashank Saha, Founder, Eastside Office. The session revolved around the challenges and opportunities faced by the Gen Y of real estate and building industry, their new ideas and beliefs of building a better professional organization taking forward from where their predecessors time tested wisdom. The next panel discussion focused on INSPIRING NEW VALUE CREATION ACROSS SECTORS and was moderated by Ar. Ayan Sen, Founder, Ayan Sen Architects, Urban planners & Designers. The speakers were Basant Kumar Parakh, Managing Director, Orbit Group; Piyush Bhagat, VP, CREDAI Bengal & Managing Director, Space Group; Pradip Chopra, Chairman & MD, PS Group & Chairman – iLEAD and Ar. J.P. Agrawal, Principal Architect, Agrawal & Agrawal Architects Pvt. Ltd. The eminent panellists agreed that there needs to be more sync and synergies between the three important stakeholders – the designer, developer and the product manufacturer to provide consumer a holistic space that is holistic and healthy The awards evening began with enlightening keynote addresses by Harsh Vardhan Patodia, President Elect, CREDAI National and Shri. Shekhar Dutt, Hon. Former Governor of Chhattisgarh, Former Defence Secretary, Govt. of India. The motivating speeches from the thought leaders were followed by the felicitation ceremony where Eastern India’s real estate big wigs walked away with the coveted Realty+ Excellence Awards.
