Targets assigned to build houses in UP

In order to provide pucca houses for people in rural areas, the state government has assigned district–wise targets to the officials under the Pradhan mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) for the year 2018-19. 75 districts have been selected under the scheme. Bahraich district has been assigned a maximum target of 12,257 rural houses, followed by Sitapur with 11,477 houses. Two districts — Gautambudh Nagar and Ghaziabad—have not been assigned any target, while Muzaffarnagar will get only eight houses. Pilibhit has been assigned 2,905 houses. The houses would be allotted to people belonging to scheduled caste scheduled tribe, and other minority communities.
