Realty shares slip; Indiabulls Real Estate slumps 5%

Realty shares were trading in the negative zone in Wednesday's morning session. Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate (down 4.99 per cent), Oberoi Realty (down 2.93 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (down 2.22 per cent), SOBHA (down 1.2 per cent), Godrej Properties (down 0.78 per cent), Phoenix Mills (down 0.52 per cent) and DLF (down 0.3 per cent) were the top losers in the index. The Nifty Realty index was trading 1.15 per cent down at 257.0 around 10:09 am. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 8.70 points at 10442.75 , while the BSE Sensex was up 19.28 points at 35654.23 . Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.
