After several failed attempts to sell surplus houses, the Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) is now adopting ‘online method’ to reach the buyers.
The decision was taken to woo buyers within the state and other parts of the country. Due to prolonged slump in the real estate market, many buyers have showed interest in RHB houses, which were once quite popular.
The online form will be scrutinised by RHB officials and the allotment letter to successful applicants will also be issued online. According to the sources, more than 24,000 houses are lying vacant in RHB housing schemes.
RHB houses failed to attract buyers after 2014 as it was selling houses at rates higher than the market price even when the state was in the grip of market slowdown.
