Looking at the drop in national rankings and poor performance of the districts in four different categories under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Grameen (PMAY-G), additional chief secretary, rural development and panchayati raj, Rajeshwar Singh has expressed concern over this.
He has directed collectors to complete the Aadhaar seeding of the beneficiaries and complete construction of the remaining 19,616 houses at the earliest to improve the state's tally in the rankings.
The top ranking by a Rajasthan district is 29th (Ganganagar) and lowest ranking is 250th (Tonk). In 2018-19, the state’s ranking in implementation of the scheme was 3rd and 4th. Now, the overall ranking of state has slipped below 4th position.
