Newly-appointed commissioner and managing director of Raipur Smart City Limited, Shiv AnantTayal, on Tuesday announced to fast track the smart city projects that are pending for the last one year - leading to fall in Raipur's smart city ranking.
Raipur was ranked 57th, scoring just 39.47 marks in "execution of smart city projects" in smart city rankings released by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs on February 6.
The development work will be undertaken keeping in mind that heritage sites are not damaged, said the official. Projects related to promotion of sports, music, and culture will be introduced to put the city on the world map, he said.
Addressing a press conference, Tayal said, citizens can also pitch in with suggestions for the smart city projects and called upon the residents to participate.
