Given the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Karnataka is in the most crucial period to ramp up its public health infrastructure and is working on various aspects of Covid -19 response such as, Disease surveillance and epidemiologic analysis, Risk communication and public information campaigns, Legal authority analysis and guidance; Nonpharmaceutical interventions (NPIs)/community mitigation strategies. In the effort to support the COVID-19 response initiatives especially the herculean efforts being carried out by the government to screen as many suspected persons with the deadly virus and isolate them to control the spread of disease Puravankara Group has come forward to support GoK to procure approved COVID-19 testing kits.
Speaking on the occasion, Hon'ble Chief minister of Karnataka Shri B. S. Yediyurappa said “We are seeing a sharp rise in Covid-19 positive cases in the last few days all over the state which had increased the requirement for the testing kits to ensure we effectively identify the infected population and isolate them at the earliest. We are thankful to Puravankara Group, who has always endeavoured to make CSR impactful for their communities. They have stepped in at this critical time and provided their support to procure these testing kits. This will ensure faster testing which will help accelerate the process and intervene to augment the Government’s efforts to flatten the curve.
Mr. Tejasvi Surya, Member of Parliament from Bengaluru south said “We are following the 3T principle – Trace, Test and Treat of all initial cases and their contacts. To accelerate the response to this pandemic we are also reaching out to as many people possible. We appreciate Puravankara Group who has readily come forward to support us in the quick procurement of the testing kits.”
On this occasion, The Puravankara Group commented, “With the uncertainty that looms over us, we at Puravankara, as a responsible corporate citizen, want to extend our support to the government, in their fantastic efforts in combating this deadly virus.
