Property registration work not to be done after 5pm: Ambala DC

In a recently-held meeting with senior officials of different departments of the district, the deputy commissioner (DC) of Ambala, Sharandeep Kaur Brar, said that work related to registration of properties should not be done after 5pm at the tehsil or sub-tehsil offices. DC also directed that the work related to registration of properties at all tehsil or sub-tehsil offices would be done by the patwaris only. “Data-entry operators are not allowed to on this,” she said. “It patwaris need training, then it will be done through the National Informatics Centre (NIC),” she added. In orders to make sure the orders are obeyed, all the revenue officers concerned will have to produce a certificate by July15. Meanwhile, the DC also directed the sub-divisional magistrates of all the four divisions of the district to make sure the work of free registrations at e-Disha portal starts. She said that the SDMs are also responsible to check if it is only patwaris who are doing the property registration work.
