PMAY beneficiaries in Rajasthan can share experiences by posting pictures

Beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (urban) in the state can share their experiences directly with union ministry of housing and urban affairs by uploading their pictures and videos. These house owners can upload their pictures on recently launched mobile app that would allow beneficiaries to capture and upload high resolution photographs of completed houses along with their families. An official at urban development and housing (UDH) department informed, “Under PMAY there are approximately 26,000 beneficiaries. They can upload selfies with their house and a 30-60 second video clip where they would share stories of owning a house under the scheme.” As the Centre intends to create a closer interface with its beneficiaries, a mobile application has been developed to bring them directly in contact with the mission.
