Global distressed funds Oaktree Capital, Cerberus Capital, Lone Star Funds and Piramal Group are in talks to acquire Dewan Housing Finance Corporation (DHFL), said two people familiar with the development. The company is planning to split the wholesale loan and retail loan businesses. Most of the investors are keen to buyout the retail loan book. Oaktree Capital is keenly looking at the wholesale loan business.
