New collector guidelines for rate of property are likely to come into effect from July 1. Property in Bhopal, both residential and agricultural, won’t be impacted after rate revision, said sources in the office of inspector general, registration & stamps. Registration & stamps office notifies collector guideline rates for property across the state.
“There can be some changes in rates at other places. In case of Bhopal, rates of residential and agricultural plots, will remain more or less the samem,” said senior district registrar D M Dohare.
District registrar Dr Pawan Ahirwar said six new colonies would be brought under the purview of collector guidelines, when the revised guidelines are notified. They include Sagar Pearl in ward no. 52, Lake Pearl in ward no. 1, Galaxy City – phase 1& 2 in ward no. 56, Ganesh Galaxy ward no. 56 and Patanjali Parisar in ward no. 1.
There were speculations whether property rates in this financial year’s collector guidelines would be changed, or maintained in the wake of property market’s downturn. Stakeholders sought reduction on the ground that property rates went down below existing guideline rates, at least in Bhopal. After dilly dallying for quite sometime, the district administration decided to retain existing rates, said sources.
