More Than 700 Housing Projects Registered With TNRERA

Nearly 710 housing projects have been registered with the Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TNRERA) till December 11 this year. Of the 35 projects that came under the purview of the state's realty regulator in December (till Dec 11), at least 20 are coming up in Chennai Metropolitan Area, Chengalpet and Coimbatore districts. The number of projects registered this year is 200, more than the total number of housing projects when compared with the previous year of 2019. As per the rules of Tamil Nadu Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Rules, 2017, all ongoing housing projects with a minimum of eight units that are meant for sale must be registered with the state's regulator. The real estate projects such as housing plots also comes under the purview of project registration with the realty regulator.
