Six days after VishwajeetJhavar (50), the chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Marvel Realtors, was arrested by Hadapsar police, he has been sent to judicial custody.
This was after the accused paid back the entire amount owed to MukeshMansukhani (40) and Naveen Mansukhani (43), two Dubaibased brothers who had both bought duplexes at the Hadapsar-based realty project in question.
Jhavar was arrested late on Friday night, and produced in court the very next day. He was remanded in police custody till January 16.
On Wednesday, when he was produced in court once more, the Mansukhani brothers submitted an affidavit stating that they were willing to withdraw their complaint because the developer had promised to pay them back the entire amount.
