MahaRERA Appoints 2 Adjudicating Officers On Its Panel

The Government in its vide Notification No. REA.2017IC.R.79IDNP-2 dated 1?t March 2017 has constituted Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA). Whereas in accordance with the provisions of Section 71 of RERA Act, 2016 for the purpose of adjudicating compensation under Section 72, 74, 78 & 19, the Authority shall appoint in consultation with the appropriate Government one or more judicial officers as deemed necessary who has or has been District Judge to be an Adjudicating Officer. Whereas in an exercise of powers conferred under section 71 of RERA Act, 201.6, the Authority in consultation with Government appointed the retired District Judges as Adjudicating Officers on its Panel. Dr. Vasant Prabhu, Secretary/MahaRERA said, “Madhav Vithal Kulkarni and Bhale Sambhaji Balaji are retired District Judges and appointed as Adjudicating Officers.”
