MahaRERA even has started a special initiative to get such projects under them, where anyone can complain about projects that ought to be registered but hasn't.
Not only this, MahaRERA has passed order in 4,748 cases, while 1816, cases are in process of hearing. MahaRERA even has started a conciliation forum, where members of the GrahakPanchayat and from developers body like NAREDCO and CREDAI-MCHI try to resolve matters between a home buyer and builder.
Dr Sanjay Chaturvedi, a housing expert who also represents cases in MahaRERA says, "Maharashtra has led the way and many other states can take a lesson." Another expert said MahaRERA can also have counsellors who can help a lay home buyer understand how they can go ahead with filing of complaints online.
