As land availability declines in the heart of the city, the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is planning to construct its future housing and commercial units along the banks of Gomti.
A proposal has been sent to the state government which, if approved, will be included in Lucknow’s Master Plan for 2031.
According to LDA officials, keeping in view the rising population of the city, new housing units can only be developed along the Gomti, 200 metres away from the banks.
The plan has been adopted from cities like Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Delhi and Bengaluru.
