K Gnanadesikan takes over as Tamil Nadu RERA chairman

Former industries secretary K Gnanadesikan has taken over as the chairman of the Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TNRERA). According to TNRERA sources, Gnanadesikan took charge on Monday. He is the first chairman of the realty regulator in Tamil Nadu after the real estate act came into effect in the state in June 2017. The Tamil Nadu government appointed Gnanadesikan, who is in the rank of additional chief secretary, as the chairman of TNRERA on Friday. S Manohar, engineer in chief, buildings, Public Works Department (PWD), and V Jeyakumar, a Madurai-based advocate, were appointed as members of the authority.
