Judicial probe orderedon CIDCO's land scam

CM DevendraFadnavis  unexpectedly conceded the Congress's demand for a judicial probe under the Commission of Inquiry Act into the alleged Rs1,767 crore City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) land scam. The land has been purchased by Paradise Builders owned by Bhatija and Bhalerao. "A judicial probe under the Act will be conducted into the allotment of land to project-affected persons in Navi Mumbai. We will soon come out with a comprehensive policy on allotment of land for project-affected persons across the state," Fadnavis told the legislative assembly. The Congress had alleged the CM had facilitated a Rs1,700crore scam benefiting a builder.
