IT probe on real estate firm Assetz covers CA who advised Kumaraswamy’s family

The IT investigators concluded their search operations on Assetz Group’s business premises across Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai, on Friday morning. Sunil is known in political and government circles in Karnataka as he is reportedly close to the Chief Minister’s family, and is among the CAs who advises the family on matters relating to tax, property and investments. “We have fully cooperated with the IT officials during the search proceedings. Assetz stands firm on its previous tax positions and disclosures made to the IT authorities,” the company said in response to a query made by media. Assetz is among the top real estate firms in Bengaluru, with one million square feet of area under development. The company is supported by a clutch of both global and Indian private equity investors and banks.
