Joining the ‘green’ movement, fast gaining momentum in India, the local real estate market momentum in India, the local real estate market friendly space in the city over the next few years. More than 30 projects – many of them bigticket commercial/residential ventures planned along Hyderabad’s western corridor – vowed to adhere by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) standards, designed to arrest the deteriorating health of the ecosystem.
Some of the major projects on this list are: Cybercity Builders and Developers’ luxury homes venture, Marina Skies; My Home Constructions’ commercial project, Twitza; Termious Group’s one million sft venture, One West among others. With the new entrants, Telangana now has over 300 green projects to its credits.
“This is a landmark achievement in the annals of green building movement in India. This milestone will encourage other developers/builders in the country to tread the same green path,” said C Shekar Reddy, chairman of IGBC’s Hyderabad chapter.
