Hudco sanctions 375 cr more for Life Mission project

Housing and Urban Development Corporation (Hudco) has allotted Rs 375 crore more for the Life Mission project aimed at providing homes for homeless people of the state. This is the fourth installment of Rs 4,000 crore loan which Hudco has committed for the project. The latest installment will be used to pay beneficiaries who have started construction of house in the second phase of Life Mission, said local self-government minister A C Moideen. Hudco’s assistance would enable construction of 1.84 lakh houses in the state. The beneficiaries of the project are provided assistance in installment after reviewing the progress of house construction. With the release of latest installment, Hudco has so far sanctioned Rs 1,500 crore for the project.
