Hundreds of homebuyers of Antriksh Sanskriti project on NH-24 along with their family members held a massive protest and demonstration for more than four hours on the morning of April 1, 2018 against the builder Antriksh Realtech Pvt Ltd for its failure in handing over the possession of the project despite a lapse of eight years. The buyers sounded extremely worried as the project has now been sealed due to non-payment of developmental charges to the tune of Rs 42 crore to the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA).
The homebuyers underlined the fact that the district administration too has not taken into account the interests of homebuyers, otherwise it would have tried to find some other ways to recover its dues than the routine act of sealing the project, bringing the construction to a complete halt at the project site.
They requested the state government headed by the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to intervene to revive the project and ensure delivery of flats to the homebuyers who have exhausted their lifetime savings in aspiring to get a roof over their heads under this project.
The Antriksh Group, in collaboration with the Raksha Vigyan Karamchari Sahkari Awas Samiti, had in 2010 launched a group housing project under the name ‘Antriksh Sanskriti’ on 12 acres of land near Hindon River next to Indirapuram along NH-24 on the Ghaziabad side. According to homebuyers, the developer had promised to hand over the possession of flats under this project in 2013-14, but till date the project is far from complete.
