Hardeep Singh Puri re-appointed as housing and urban development minister

As advised by Prime Minister NarendraModi, President Ram NathKovind issued the full list of allocation of portfolios of the Union Council of Ministers Hardeep Singh Puri has been re-appointed as the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. He has also been given responsibility of Civil Aviation; and Commerce and Industry. In 2019 elections, Puri lost the Amritsar seat to Congress MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla. Aujla won the seat by a margin of 99,626 votes.
