Environment Ministry of Maharshtra gives green nod for Rs 2,338cr expansion project to Reliance Group of Industries. The environment clearance is for the expansion and optimisation of its petrochemical complex at Nagothane in Raigad district of Maharashtra. The estimated cost is of Rs 2,338 crore for the expansion.
The proposal expands the gas cracker and downstream plants located at Nagothane, by way of debottlenecking, expansion and change of fuel in captive power plant, and also expansion and rebuilding of residential township.It currently has 744 hectare land and 1,794 manpower and according to the proposal, no additional land and manpower is required for the proposed project.
The proposed project also includes expansion of the existing township with additional residential apartments within the township area. Nagathone of Raigad district is one among the developing district because of the industries in it.
