PM Modi said that there is no class of people who did not suffer due to Covid-19 outbreak, but poor, labourers have been hit the hardest.
Referring to the attack by locusts in various states of the country, PM Modi said that help will be extended to those affected by the attack. Speaking about Cyclone Amphan, the Prime Minister said that India stands with Odisha and West Bengal, and that the people of these states have shown remarkable courage.
Honest taxpayers of the country deserve the credit for helping the poor getting free treatment under the 'Ayushman Bharat' health insurance scheme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He added that the number of people who have benefited from the government's ambitious scheme has crossed the one crore-mark recently. The prime minister noted that 80 per cent of the one crore beneficiaries hail from rural areas. About 50 per cent of the beneficiaries are women.
“Considering the migrant labourers, the need of the hour is devising a new solution. I firmly believe that the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' campaign will take the country to greater heights in this decade,’ Modi said.
