Buyers of the Emerald Hills township staged a protest outside the office of developer Emaar India near Sikandarpur on Saturday, demanding completion of their long-delayed homes. Emaar said it was taking “corrective measures” to deliver the project.
The protesters said they have been waiting for almost nine years for the project to be completed, which was originally meant to be finished in three years. “The township was launched in July 2009. Possession was assured within 36 months from the date of signing of the builder-buyer agreement, which took place the same year. We were supposed to get possession by 2012-13,” said Sumit Aggarwal, a member of Emerald Hills Welfare Owners Association.
