District office of the Life Missionidentifies two plots in Kochi for affordable housing plan

District office of the Life Mission has identified two plots in Kochi to build apartment blocks for the homeless and landless. According to news sources, one acre has been identified in Koothattukulam and 1.5 acres in Ayyampuzha. K G Thilakan, district convener of Life project, said that they had sent a detailed project report (DPR) to the government for its approval. Once the first phase of the project gets over, the government will proceed with work on building houses for the landless and homeless. The department has also identified land in the corporation limits belonging to the revenue department but there are disputes pertaining to this property which is being occupied by around 15 families.
