Four land owners and builders have been booked on the basis of a complaint filed by the department of town and country planning (DTCP) for allegedly setting up illegal colonies in Maruti Kunj and Ghata village.
Police registered two separate FIRs against them. The DTCP had filed a complaint at Bhondsi police station gainst Mahesh Yadav and Bhupendra Kumar for developing an illegal colony in Maruti Kunj area of the Sohna village.
According to DTCP officials, Sohna village alls within the controlled urban area of Bhondsi. In controlled urban areas, no construction can be carried out without necessary permission.
“Yadav and Kumar violated the provisions by sub-dividing the land for the purpose of developing a colony. We had issued them a notice in February and in March had issued a restoration notice but as they failed to reply to the notices and continued with the construction, we filed a police complaint against them,” said a DTCP official.
