A housing project which was declared completed was asked by The Tamil Nadu Real Estate Appellate Tribunal to register with Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TNRERA) as an ongoing project.
The directorate of town and country planning (DTCP) declared the project of Marg Properties in Thiruporur as a structurally completed building which kept it from the purview of the realty regulator last year.
A homebuyer had filed a complaint that alleging that his apartment was not handed over as the project was incomplete. The tribunal has asked Marg Properties to register the same as an ongoing project within 15 days with TNRERA from the date of receipt of the order.
Since the Real Estate Act came into effect in Tamil Nadu on June 22, 2017, the order delivered on May 23 was the first order by the tribunal.
