Cidco to flag-off housing scheme under PMAY on Aug 15

Cidco will flag off its biggest housing scheme for economically weaker section (EWS) under the Prime Minister Awaas Yojna (PMAY) and low income group (LIG) on August 15. The online application ( https://lottery.cidcoindia.com) will be for the largest number of housing stocks at any one point of time, Cidco’s marketing department said. Marketing manager, Laxmikant Daware said “the website can be viewed from August 13 and applications can be sent from August 15. MD, Lokesh Chandra has made it online for transparency.” Applicants will have to deposit Rs 280 besides Rs 5,000 and Rs 25,000 as earnest money deposit for EWS and LIG booking. In case they fail to get allotment, the earnest money will be refunded. Applicants will have to get certified income copy from the tehsildar. Anybody who is a domicile of the state can apply. In the case of PMAY, there are conditions for not owning any pucca house anywhere in the country. Those who are working in the unorganised sectors can also apply if fulfil the remaining conditions of documentation. Those who apply under PMAY will also have to register with the PMAY website and MHADA the nodal authority will vet the applicants, Cidco said.
