As the temperature continues to rise, construction sites at Noida Extension and the 70x sectors continue to flout National Green Tribunal (NGT) norms.
With waste material kept out in the open, clouds of dust are visible almost throughout the day.
A tour of the areas that are witnessing heavy construction activities revealed dust rising from material dumped along the roads. Dust control regulations laid down by the NGT, which state that all construction material should be covered and water should be sprinkled on them regularly, are hardly being followed.
Residents from Noida and Noida Extension have complained at the office of Uttar Pradesh pollution Control Board (UPPCB) and the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) through Twitter. But on the ground, it seems nothing much has been done to change the situation.
