Bengaluru Mayor declares, House plans will now be approved in a week

Getting an approval from the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to build a house in Bengaluru is not an easy task. The civic body is now trying to get rid of this image with brand new promises to build a house in a week’s time. The Mayor M Goutham Kumar on Friday promised that property owners can now upload the plan, prepared by an architect, on the BBMP website and the civic authorities will review and approve it within a week. Additionally, owners will now not have to wait for inspection by the officials and can begin work immediately after approval. The Mayor also took to Twitter to share the development. “No more running from pillar to post to get your building construction plan approved,” the mayor tweeted. While the mayor did not specify further details, the approval is restricted only to small houses coming up on a plot of less than 2,400 square feet.
