The department of town and country planning (DTCP) has said action will be taken against illegal structures in DLF 1, 2 and 4. This comes after realty major DLF alleged that around 23 houses in the upscale areas of the city were built illegally.
The developer had written to the DTCP, deputy commissioner and MCG alleging that such constructions were done after getting occupation certificates (OC) from DTCP.
DLF, in five letters written between January 31 to February 6, provided a list of buildings with illegal constructions. They also filed a complaint against unauthorised constructions done by plot owners and provided a list of such plots as well.
DLF alleged that after plot owners get OC from the DTCP, they make additional constructions violating the approved building plans. In some of the cases, buildings were allegedly constructed for residential purposes but later used for commercial practices.
