Ambala civic body team to check illegal constructions

The civic body here is planning to establish a survey team that will check nearly 500 illegal constructions. The team would inspect buildings that were built without approved construction maps or were violating other norms. The decision has been taken after a resident of Gurgaon, Supriya, submitted a survey report of 500 erring properties in the city and its cantonment areas. These are the buildings that have either encroached MC properties, converted residential properties to commercial, or have no approved construction maps. In her survey, Supriya found that the owners who had converted the residential properties to commercial were not giving any commercial property tax to the MC.
